What is the SDDF Global Virtual Internship?

It is a competitive, fully virtual program designed for future leaders in the Bangladesh and global. It bridges the gap between academic theory and real-world impact, allowing interns to apply skills in Research, Technology, and Strategy to solve critical challenges in the Global South.

Yes, the program is entirely virtual. You will need a reliable internet connection and a laptop to participate.

Upon successful completion, interns receive:

  • Mentorship from industry experts.

  • An official Letter of Recommendation.

  • A Certificate of Completion.

  • The opportunity to contribute directly to the International Standard.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Currently enrolled in or graduated from a university.

  • Strong proficiency in English (Written & Verbal).

  • Access to a reliable internet connection and laptop.

  • A passion for the Non-Profit sector and SDGs.

  • A proactive, self-starter attitude.

Interns are expected to commit approximately 10-12 hours per week. The schedule is flexible to accommodate academic or other professional commitments.

There are four main streams available:

  1. Policy & Research: Focuses on literature reviews, data analysis, and publishing white papers.

  2. EdTech & Digital: Involves curriculum development, LMS management, and creating digital training materials.

  3. Strategic Partnerships: Includes researching grants, drafting proposals, and stakeholder communications.

  4. Web Infrastructure: Focuses on SEO, UX optimization, Google Workspace administration, and data visualization.

You can choose from the following durations:

  • 3 Months (Minimum)

  • 6 Months (Standard)

  • 12 Months (Long-Term/Project Based)

  • Flexible (Specific dates can be requested during application)

The internship follows a three-phase structure:

  1. Onboarding: Virtual meet-and-greet with leadership and introduction to tools (Slack/Trello).

  2. Project Execution: Work on live projects with weekly mentorship check-ins and collaborative sprints.

  3. Review & Certification: Present your work to the leadership team and receive your certification.

You must submit an application form on the SDDF website. The application requires:

  • Personal contact details.

  • Your preferred internship stream and duration.

  • An upload of your Resume/CV.

  • An upload of a recent passport-sized photo.
